PINK OCTOBER 2025 – EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES

Throughout the month of October, Achimota Hospital intensified efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer, focusing on the life-saving importance of early detection. Activities included:
• Health education sessions led by clinicians and nurses across various units.
• Breast cancer screening for staff, clients, some select institutions and community members.
• Outreach and sensitization on self-breast examination and risk factors.
• Staff engagement initiatives, where staff were encouraged to wear pink to show solidarity with survivors and those battling the disease.

The campaign emphasized that early diagnosis significantly increases the chances of successful treatment, and the hospital remains committed to making preventive screening accessible to all.
