
Reproductive And Child Health
This service deals in Family Planning, New Born and Child Health in general. This is a specialized care for children and new born and surgical cases in children under the age of 13.
The Child Health Service provides a range of community health and support services for children and their parents/carers to give every child the best possible start in life. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of child health nurses and early intervention clinicians (either social workers or psychologists) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Workers.
The goal of the New Born, Child Health Unit is to end preventable child deaths and promote the healthy growth and development of all children in the first decade of their life.
