The foundation collaborates with the government, private entities as well as individual philanthropists to ensure funding reaches designated charities.

Their aim is to ensure a just and sustainable future for all by sponsoring the building of amenities that are required in underserved areas, offering financial aid to talented but underprivileged individuals, and empowering people with marketable skills through training programs.

The Lindsay Foundation held the commissioning ceremony of an ultra-modern emergency block at the theAchimota Hospital on Thursday,  8th December 2022 which they funded the construction of in collaboration with some partners.

The emergency block which is a fulfillment of a pledge made by the Lindsay Foundation boasts of fully fitted male wards, female wards, pediatric unit, doctors’ and nurses’washrooms, an accountant’s office, and a waiting room.

Every room has been equipped with a built-in oxygen control unit to avoid wheeling oxygen cylinders in and out which can sometimes be inconveniencing. This is to provide the best healthcare experience for both the patients and healthcare personnel.

Prior to this donation, the Lindsay Foundation made other donations and provisions to other necessary charities. They funded the renovation of Male Ward 4 at the Achimota Hospital, transforming it into a modern facility.

They made a hefty donation in response to a cry for help to the maternity ward of Mamobi Polyclinic consisting of medical equipment, food, and beverages worth GHc50,000.

The foundation also supported victims of the fire outbreak at Abofu on 3rd May 2018. The fire outbreak left about 250 residents homeless who called on the government, businesses, and corporate bodies to come to their aid and the Lindsay Foundation answered their call with relief items worth GHc20,000. With their most recent donation, the emergency block at Achimota Hospital, Dr James Orleans-Lindsay’s(CEO of the foundation) said “Without health, we are nothing”, hence they are making healthcare the focus of their foundation.
